I wanted to start a fund that would have a competitive advantage over other VC firms, and seeing GE's increasing interest in renewables and water, I realised that there was a tremendous opportunity in Europe for a dedicated Cleantech fund.

Henrik is a former Managing Director of GE Equity, General Electric’s private equity business. During his 13 years with GE he was involved with transactions in a wide variety of industries and markets. Initially he assisted the Vice President of Mergers and Acquisition for GE worldwide in the evaluation and completion of European acquisitions made by a number of GE’s industrial divisions, which also included active involvement in operational post-merger integration.
In 1995 he moved over to GE Capital and acted in a similar role, working for the President of GE Capital in Europe. At the end of 1996, Henrik joined the recently established private equity business in Europe. During his time at GE Equity he invested in companies all across Europe and in transactions ranging from technology growth capital investments to smaller industrial buy-outs.
Henrik has an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics, which included a scholarship exchange with the New York University Stern School of business. Henrik sits on the European Advisory Board of the Cleantech Venture Network.
