Arne Morteani - Principal

When I worked as a researcher in the solar cell and materials science fields, I saw that Europe had great strengths in these areas. There is a strong tradition for environmental technologies in Europe.

Arne Morteani

Prior to joining ETF, Arne gained experience both in strategy consulting and in technology research. He was a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group for two years, where he focussed mainly on strategic due diligence work and covered a wide range of industries including the high-tech, energy, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, and financial service industries. Before BCG, Arne worked as a Research Fellow at Cambridge University where he developed solar cells made from novel organic semiconductors. He published over a dozen journal and book articles on the subject and has spoken on many conferences across Europe, the US, and Asia. Arne is also a co-founder of the Cambridge Tech Ventures Conference.

Arne holds a PhD degree in physics from Cambridge University where he was a Gates Scholar, and a Diploma in physics (distinction) from the University of Munich. He is a German national.
